I’m Drew McConnell and I live in Greenisland, about seven miles outside Belfast, Northern Ireland.
My ‘day job’ was as a lecturer in Visual Communication Design in the University of Ulster’s School of Art and Design — I retired at the end of August.
Way back in the late ’60s/early ’70s I studied photography at Belfast College of Art — the University’s Belfast Campus is still referred to as the ‘Art College’ as part of it occupies the old Art College site in the city centre.
Photography is still a great passion as is Amateur Drama. Since 1973 I’ve been a member of The Clarence Players (one of the province’s oldest and most respected drama groups).
